The Victoria Falls are a mile wide and at this point the river is flowing almost due south. So this is the view from the western end which is on the southern, or Rhodesian, bank of the Zambezi.

A deadly hazard on an Inyanga road warns of a single carriageway low level bridge – only room for one car!
